To me America is a home
Some place where I'm not alone
An area were I can shout
To let my feelings out
A place with which I can't part
A place where I felt extra safe
Until that dreadful day
9/11 is that dreadful day, what a shame
I shed many tears that sad day
As I watch the Twin Towers lay
At home as I watched the towers die
I felt their pain and prayed
While the buildings grew weaker
America's hearts grew stronger
