Hi! I'm Adelia that wrote about Indonesia and Italy. I also want to write a little about Brazil. Brazil is the 5th largest and the 5th most populated country in the world. Sounds like 5 is the Brazilian number, right?
Brazil's capitol city is Rio de Janeiro. My teacher said that it should be pronounced Rio d Haneiro. In Brazil is a great statue named Cristo Redentor. Brazil is the only South American country that speaks Portuguese. In Portuguese, Brazil (or Brasil) means Red Wood. Brazil has a beautiful beach called Ipanema. Have you ever heard about the song "The Girl from Ipanema?" The writer was inspired from this beach!
They have some interesting fishes like piracucu (or arapaima), piranha, boto, arowana, and bull shark. Arowana is similar to piracucu. The Amazon River has the largest volume of water out of all the rivers in the world. It is also the second longest river in the world. The longest river is the Nile in Egypt. Sometimes you will meet an anaconda in the shallow waters of the Amazon Basin. Wow!
Maybe someone reading my report wants to see some pictures of Brazil?
