Gold Necklace There once was a girl named Emily McTwain. She had a great grandma named Mary that was black. Emily was very proud of her great grandma and here is why, While Mary was a girl she was a slave from when she was 7- 41. When she was forty-one she went in the underground railroad. After she was out of the underground railroad she went on bear foot all the way to Washington, DC and saw the President. When she saw him she gave a 2 hour speech on how there shouldn't be slaves. The President was so proud he took her picture and put it in a locket gold neclace.Well Mary gave it to her child, that child gave it to her child, and so on till it got to Emily. Well on the first day of 4th grade Emily wore it to school. when she got home it was gone!!!! she looked at school and EVERYWHERE!!! but she couldn't find it. about a week later on the front of the U.S.A paper on Wednesday morning 1971. there was a picture of it!!!! the article said that Kayla was Mary's great grandchild!!!!! Well, The family flied to Washington, DC Where they made the paper and went to court. After 4 month's of very hard work of the judge they discovered that Emily was the true great grandchild. Kayla was sent to Military school for girls. THE END
